WoW ='s mindless button mashing more than not. 30 skills is an unnecessary excess of skills. It doesn't mean it's challenging (it is not) or makes it a? better game just because there's 30 skills on your bar. On a visual aspect it also looks like total crap and cluttered with all that garbage spread all throughout the entire screen. Enough said.

More skills =/= better. That's one thing Guild Wars 2 is attempting to hammer home. Something MMORPG's knew back in the old days. I run a range of gaming history that goes back 20 years at this point. Only 10 years on MMORPG's. I've played a great range of all games. What you describe fits almost any MMORPG in PVP. Yet they vary in? terms of how fast paced they are. It's a different value to quantify. GW 2 is much more active in positioning for example.

with wow 3v3 arena you have to make split second decisions, coordinate with your team,be able to use about 30 skills properly. There is no other game out there that requires so much skill and quickness that Warcraft demands. I can promise you that NO FPS is faster then WOW arena because i played almost all FPS games out there ranging from COD to BF3 and even unreal tournament so i can say that from experience. ?

He was using terminology you were not used to. He really should have known better since you made it clear you are not familiar with MMORPG'S :). But no harm no foul :P. They have to try and break MMORPG's in numerous ways because they are very complex and hold extremely high numbers of people online at just about all times.? Thus failures are big deals, not just the restarting of a match. Also because of the complexities the chances for these failures and difficulty fixing them is incredible

1st off World of Warcraft is a primarily PVE game. 2nd Arena CAN be fast or can be slow. Depends really. I can promise is that it is not faster than a FPS, an Action game, or any game that does large scale PVP well such as Dark Age of Camelot or Guild Wars 2. I can also promise that Guild Wars 2 is faster? in an equivalent 3 vs 3. Also, can you Arena from level 1? :P. In GW 2 you can in balanced fashion. I'm not fond of WOW, but this is completely outside of the reasons I don't like it.

Good to see more players coming to the fold of MMORPG's. You chose a good more action oriented one to join in. More towards your fast paced play style that you enjoy via FPS games. It's almost as fast paced as an action game. You likely would not have liked others like Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, City of Heros, etc near as well, though they are considered? good in the MMORPG world. Because they play much slower.

jus seen the screenshots and read the specs. its not looking good at all. it will be in 3rd person, not have skills, the level cap will take 120 hours to hit, the fighting will not be in real time, it will be class-based, it is set 1000 years before skyrim, no dragons, no becoming werewolfs or vampires, no houseing, it will run on the hero engine, massive sections of the map you will NOT be able? to go to, the graphics are very low quality, and it will almost cirtainly be a subscription game. ?

Everyone will not have the same skills. The skills are determined from the combination of your main-hand and off-hand and you can have two sets in which you can switch at any time immediately. Also the trait system modifies your skills in a unique way. Last but not least, you have your utility skills which you can personally choose. In? any way, this is the only MMO in which two classes are certainly not likely to have the same skills equipped.

This statement proves, you have no ideal what you are saying. First the traits system to build your character in a different way, second armor don't give you a giant boost. However different armor gives you different types of boost. So you have to have the right one for your build. The warrior have 45 different skills from weapons, and you can wield? 2 different weapons to change fighing, Utility skill have 26 so far, and will add more later. So that 71 skills, to customize your 10 slot skill bar

Too bad only GW2 deserves it.. Rift is a carbon copy of WoW with an interesting (but broken and pointless) class changing system.. SWTOR is simply an ultra refined WoW in space.. Guild Wars 2 has a shorten and more strategic skill bar with hot swapping weapons that changes the skills.. That alone made GW2 a fucking win game... Everyone that tested the game at conventions have said the game is pure genius.. Can't say that about? SWTOR or Rift..
